Ebba Johansson b. 1994
Ebba Johansson’s works, which balance stillness with tension, typically explore memory, heritage, and the relationship between people and the objects that surround them. Through the medium of oil painting, Johansson transforms everyday items – fabrics, plants, ornaments, and pieces of clothing – into symbols of personal and collective history.
Ebba Johansson (b. 1994) lives and works in Nybro, Sweden. Previous solo exhibitions include Berg Gallery (2024) and VIDA Museum & Konsthall, Öland (2022, 2020). Recent group exhibition venues include Market Art Fair x Bert van Hoecke, Stockholm (2025), Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen (2023), and Frederiksborg Castle, Hillerød (2023). Her works are represented in the collections of Region Skåne, Region Kronoberg, Region Kalmar, Uppsala kommun, and Nybro kommun. In 2025, she was awarded The Swedish Arts Grants Committee's one-year working grant.
