Raha Rastifard's Hamnar's hjärta in Norrtälje: Public work

Commissioned by the City of Norrtälje and selected by popular vote, Raha Rastifard's work Hamnars hjärta was installed by the river close to Gevärsfaktoriet, to represent the 400th anniversary of Norrtälje.

Referencing the history of the city and the local importance of seafare, the iron sculpture is formed in the shape of two hearts stacked on top of each other as a symbol of the boating knots used to secure your boat at a port. The sides of the sculpture are inscriped with runic letters denoting the year when the city was founded and the current year: 1622  2022.
