Johan Röing b. 1958

Johan Röing (b. 1958) was born in Malmö but grew up in Germany. He studied at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf from 1979 to 1986, with professors such as Tony Cragg and Irmin Kamp. He returned to Sweden in 1996 and now lives and works in Fuglie, south of Malmö. Röing has previously been shown in numerous exhibitions in Germany and southern Sweden, including a solo exhibition at Moderna Museet Malmö in 2019. His work is represented in the collections of Moderna Museet, Stockholm, Skissernas Museum, Lund, Borås Konstmuseum, Public Art Agency Sweden, and Trelleborgs Museum.
