Dimitra Konstantinidi b. 1998
Dimitra Konstantinidi (b. 1998, Crete) is an independent artist working across visual arts and textiles. Her practice operates at the intersection of painting and embroidery, engaging with questions of social justice, political vulnerability, and the preservation of cultural heritage. Using a narrative approach, she treats art as a form of storytelling, drawing from personal and collective memory to develop works that address resistance under conditions of political and social repression. Through large-scale textile installations incorporating text, found objects, and architectural elements, she frequently activates public spaces and abandoned buildings as sites of intervention, remembrance, and collective reflection.
Konstantinidi holds an MFA in Textiles from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm (2024–26), and graduated with distinction from Athens School of Fine Arts in 2022. Her work has recently been featured in exhibitions at Kummelholmen, Stockholm, and Public Tobacco Factory, Athens (both 2026), Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, Stockholm (2025), and the Larissa Biennale (2023).
